The Academy of Food and Wine Service have welcomed the initiative and support the aims of Euro Jobskills in training to raise standards.

What is included in the course fees?
The course fees cover enrolment on the programme, Euro Jobskills welcome booklet, training and assessment, monitoring and evaluation during placement and course certification. The University of Cambridge International Examinations Certification is extra.
What does Euro Jobskills expect from me?
All students should attend training regularly and on time, abide by the laws of the UK, dress and behave accordingly during training and work placement, do classwork and homework, follow rules of host family or accommodation provider and to have read and understood Euro Jobskills terms and conditions.
What benefits will I have from the course?
The courses will give you the opportunity to learn, live and work in the UK by improving
language skills, learning about the hospitality and catering trade, and will increase
your self-
What kind of job will I do?
Most trainees will be working as general assistants and the type of duties will very much depend on your level of English, attitude, aptitude and previous experience. The employer allocates duties based on positions available as well as your capabilities.
Can I choose wher I work?
No, you can be placed anywhere in the UK. You can indicate where you would like to go but we cannot guarantee this will be possible. We do not offer inner London area.
Can I go to the same placement provider as my friend?
We will try our very best to arrange this, but cannot guarantee it as it very much depends on the requirements of the employer. If you decide to cancel because you are not placed with your friend, we are not able to refund any course fees.
What clothes do I need to bring?
Front of house positions require males to wear black trousers (not jeans) white shirts, black tie, black shoes, and females to wear black trousers/black knee length skirts, white blouses, black shoes. Housekeepers generally wear more comfortable clothing such as black trousers and white cotton tops. In the kitchen you will be required to wear chefs jackets and chefs trousers. Remember to bring plenty of shirts to last you a week, but don’t forget to pack clothes for you leisure time to.
How much money should I bring with me?
You need to plan to bring sufficient funds with you for your accommodation deposit, four weeks rent plus enough money for food and living expenses, for at least the first month.
Where is the nearest ATM cash machine?
The nearest cash machine to Euro Jobskills is located less than one mile away at the Post Office on the corner of West Hill Road.
What can I do if I have no money?
Should you need cash urgently, the quickest way to send or receive money to or from anywhere in the world is via the Moneygram service which is available at Thomas Cook Bureaux de Change inside the HSBC Bank in Old Christchurch Road, or at the main Post Office in Post Office Road. Details on this service can also be found on www.moneygram.com.
Where is the nearest doctors surgery?
The nearest doctors surgery to Euro Jobskills is the Poole Road Medical Centre, Poole Road. You will need to make an appointment to see the doctor. Treatment for EEA nationals is free under our National Health Service, but you will need to pay part of the cost of any medicine.
What happens if I need a dentist or optician?
This is not free. You will have to make an appointment as a private patient and pay the full cost.
What happens if I leave my job or are dismissed?
Euro Jobskills is not a job agency. If you choose to leave your job or are dismissed by your employer, we will not find you another placement. We will, however, offer you advice on how you can help yourself to find alternative employment.
Who do I call in an emergency?
In an emergency, you can contact POLICE, AMBULANCE, FIRE or COASTGUARD services by dialling 999. Calls are free.
How safe is Bournemouth?
Bournemouth is as safe as any other town in the World. As with anywhere, you should be sensible and take care of your personal safety and belongings at all times of day and night.
Who is responsible for cleaning the accommodation in self catering/room only buildings?
You are responsible to keep your own room and share in responsibility to keep communal areas clean and tidy.
Where can I do my laundry?
Generally you should be prepared to take your laundry to a laundrette.
Do I get my accommodation deposit back?
To get your deposit back, you must leave your accommodation clean and tidy with no damage and have kept your accommodation fees up to date. Retrieval of deposit is between student and accommodation provider.
What do I do if I have a problem or complaint with my work placement?
You must speak to your employer to give them the opportunity to explain, or investigate. If the complaint still exists, then you should bring it to the attention of Euro Jobskills for advise, or to mediate on your behalf.
